This
car was previously owned by a local

The owner of the facility stored several vehicles for the old man and said the cars were always towed to the location and were only driven to place them on the trailer and driven on the lot.

The only thing that I’ve done to get the vehicle running was to put a new electric fuel pump and coil in it along with a new battery.

The 288/135 engine runs like a top and purrs like a kitten, with this in mind along with what the owner of the storage facility told me I might have reason to believe that the 66,874 miles that is on the odometer might just be the original mileage.

The lights work; the gauges work and the brakes work and seem to stop the vehicle pretty good!

The tires are P235/75R15 and are in good condition with plenty of mileage left on them!

Currently the only thing that is wrong with the car is something to do with the transmission. The transmission is an Ultramatic 2 speed fluid drive which was one of the first automatics produced. The low gear and reverse works great, those gears are direct gears! But when you go to shift it into 2nd that is when the fluid drive should kicks in.

I’ve had the car up to around 60 mph in first and it really doesn’t seem to mind, however, I wouldn’t want to try and drive it for a long distance that way!
I’ve talked to a pretty good authority on the subject and he feels that really the only thing that could be wrong is that the Main Drive Valve is stuck or clogged and should be a easy fix because most of the valves on this transmission are on the exterior of the trans case. In fact if she don’t sell that will be the next thing that I do with her.

Now, not all Packard's were driven to church on Sundays when they were new - some went to the race track. My original concept for this vehicle was to replicate The # 20 Flores and Andrade 1951 Packard that was driven in the Mexican Pan-American Race in 1952 but the interior and the rest of the vehicle is in such great shape that it would most likely be worth a lot more if it was restored, recently I’ve found a few of these that have been fully restored going for over $ 25,000.00.

This car has a cormorant hood ornament which means it was one of the larger models but it was still known as a junior series because it has vertical tail lights.

The interior is still in pretty good shape, it does have some slight staining hear and there but all and all the broad cloth and the headliner seems to be sturdy.

The back of the front seat is a bit brittle but there are no major rips or anything like that.

The body is in really great shape; the rear right door does have a little filler in it but doesn’t seem to be anything major.

There are some very small pocks near the rear tail lights

and the front floor pan on the driver’s side does have rust and a small hole that could either be patched or one could coat it in a rust inhibitor, but I’ve seen and repaired way worse and it wouldn’t take much to clean this up.

The tail lights are glass and the passenger side has a large chip in it, I am currently bidding on a replacement for it and if I win the auction I will be including it with this vehicle.

Some of the really cool features with this model is that the Glove Box is a Box that slides out and the ash trays are almost hidden. This model also came with an electric Antenna That works!; except the Radio is not working!

The car is not currently registered but it has been verified by a certified and bonded agency and comes with all of the paperwork to back it up to include the Vehicle Verification, Buyers Acknowledgment, Lien Sale Certification, Application for Title and Transfer Reassignment Form.

I might consider a partial trade but to tell you the truth I have 4 other projects that I am currently working on and it would have to be something I need.
